Students are learning to vary their sentence starters by using verbs , adjectives , prepositional phrases , and even -ly words (like “excitedly” or “suddenly”).  Dear Parents  Phys Ed Students have been moving and grooving in our dance unit! We've been learning choreographed dances such as Waka Waka and Gangnam Style while exploring beat and rhythm. This week, students explored the north and south poles of magnets and conducted experiments to test the strength of different magnets. Fractions are an important concept that helps students understand parts of a whole, parts of a set, and the way numbers can be divided and shared. Here’s a quick overview of what we are learning in class and how you can support your child at home. What Are Fractions? A fraction represents a part of a whole or a part of a group. It is written with two numbers separated by a line, such as 1/2 or 3/4 . Parts of a Fraction Numerator: The top number in a fraction, which tells us how many parts we have. Denominator: The bottom number, which tells us how many equal parts the whole is divided into.  Dear Parents: Language Arts – Reader’s Theatre Our students have continued working on Reader’s Theatre this week, reading in mixed groups to develop their fluency and expression.
