March 3-7

 Dear Parents:

Language Arts – Reader’s Theatre
Our students have continued working on Reader’s Theatre this week, reading in mixed groups to develop their fluency and expression. They are using their voices, gestures, and presentation skills to bring their plays to life, making for some fun and engaging performances. Ask your child about the play they’re working on!

Math – Multiplication Strategies
In math, we have been focusing on multiplying two-digit numbers by one-digit numbers using the standard algorithm. Students are working on understanding place value and applying their skills to solve multiplication problems efficiently. Practicing multiplication facts at home can help reinforce their learning.

Physical Education – Volleyball Skills
This week in phys ed, we continued developing our volleyball skills. Students practiced their volleys, bumping, serving, and working on control. We are having a great time improving our coordination and learning the fundamentals of the game.

Social Studies – International Women’s Day
In recognition of International Women’s Day, we had some meaningful discussions about gender equality. Students shared their thoughts on fairness, opportunities, and the importance of recognizing the contributions of women in history and today’s world. It was inspiring to hear their perspectives and ideas!
