Sept. 16-20

 Dear Parents:

This week we introduced International World Peace Day.  It is happening on Sept. 21.  Students brainstormed what peace feels like, tastes like, looks like, sounds like and feels like.  In the next few days we will be writing poems about peace.  Happy International Peace Day Sept. 21. 



In math we are continuing to work on graphing data.  Student's have learned about bar graphs and this week we have introduced pictographs.  The soccer residency has started and student's are working on soccer drills and skills with our specialists.  We had a wonderful day on our community walk.  Students spent time where the 2 rivers meet ( Elbow and Bow Rivers). They did some drawing, reflecting and sharing about the land.

 Dear Parents: 🌎 Earth Day Assembly On Tuesday, April 22, we celebrated Earth Day with a school-wide assembly. The students did a wonderful job participating and showing their commitment to taking care of our planet. Dec 6-13

 Dear Families,  Design Process Invention: Our students engaged in a fantastic project where they created inventions to solve winter problems. They collaborated, drew designs, assembled their products, and proudly shared their finished creations with the Grade 1 class. Math Learning: In math, students began learning about angles! They explored acute, obtuse, and right angles, which sparked their curiosity and creativity. Social Studies: This week, we enjoyed hearing various oral stories, including practicing the tale of "Napi and the Dog." This activity encouraged storytelling skills and cultural appreciation. Physical Education: Floor hockey brought a lot of fun and teamwork to our physical education classes, allowing students to develop their skills while enjoying friendly competition. Fractions are an important concept that helps students understand parts of a whole, parts of a set, and the way numbers can be divided and shared.
